Who we are
DurbanSolar installs solar and battery systems from Riverhorse, Durban. For any privacy question or request, email info@durbansolar.co.za or call 078 700 7443.
What we collect
When you request a site survey, we collect your name, phone number and email address. If you add them, we also collect your suburb, the system you are interested in and your message. The form emails these details to our team.
Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages visited, for security and to keep the site running.
Why we use it
We use your details only to answer your request: to call you, arrange a site survey and prepare a quote. We do not sell your details or use them for unrelated marketing.
Who sees it
Our own team, plus our email and web hosting providers, which store the information for us. If you go ahead with an installation, the details needed to register your system and its warranty may be shared with the equipment manufacturer.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your request. We keep installation records for as long as the law or the equipment warranty requires.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us using it. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
